Heritage Group

Status:Active, open to new members
Convenor:
When: Monthly on Friday mornings 10:15 am
Last Friday of the month.
Venue: Horn Park

This popular group organises both meetings and outings to learn and share information on a range of topics related to “Heritage” in its widest sense. We are fortunate that we are based in an area that has a rich history but we do, on occasions, also consider subjects from a wider field.

We normally meet on the last Friday morning in the month in the Bowls room at Horn Park. Check the programme on this website or in Heritage News to confirm the  event dates and topics.

Our monthly meetings are open to all U3A SEL members, no need to book, just turn up. Refreshments will be available for a small fee

Outings and other events are normally booked on a first come first served basis. As we now have more than 80 members bookable outings fill up fast. So, if you want to attend, you need to sign up promptly.

We send out regular news and updates directly to group members through the Beacon email system. If you wish to join our group and receive our emails please contact our convenor,  Roger Mead.

Details of our meetings can be found below, in the weekly U3A Newsletter and in our occasional Heritage News information sheet. Group members who are not on email will receive Heritage News by post as long as their postal address has been given to the Membership Secretary.
