Wine tasting for us is all about having a convivial evening while enjoying different types and styles of wine. Red, white or rosé; still or sparking from around the world. We search out what we like - and maybe get tempted to be more adventurous.

The role of hosting, and venue for the meeting, rotates among members of the group who then choose a theme and wine for the evening.

Recent themes have included: Y Viva Espana; same grape different country; Wines for Christmas. Most of the wines we try are between £6- £20 a bottle. The cost of the wine and nibbles are divided between participants.

This group is currently full although we do have vacancies on our waiting list, which is used to fill places when members are absent.

We try to vary our format occasionally and recently had an amazing evening on a narrow boat on the Regents Canal tasting various wines which the following photos depict.  We were very lucky that the weather was as good as the wine, shared food and company.
