The group was set up in 2023 to provide an opportunity for members to meet together and enjoy West End Theatre productions.

We aim to identify productions of interest to as many members as possible; these are usually plays or musicals/musical dramas. Due to ticket prices and limited interest we do not attempt to organise trips to opera and ballet, but do enjoy visits to filmed performances at Greenwich Picturehouse.

Subject to availability, we usually go to matinee performances, often on a Wednesday. Wherever possible, we meet before the production for lunch/refreshments.

In order to benefit from discounted ticket prices, our party must number a minimum of 12, and we are required to book approximately 2 months in advance. Once a ticket has been requested by a member it is their responsibility to make payment (to the convenor) for that ticket – if circumstances change we will try to find someone else to take the ticket but this may not always be possible.

In order to minimise administration we limit group membership to a level that attracts a party of 12-18 for each production. Requests to join will be considered as they arise.
