Pat Duffy will be leading the discussion which will be on Jean-Jacques Rousseau (1712–1778) He was a Genevan philosopher, writer, and composer whose political philosophy heavily influenced the Enlightenment across Europe, as well as aspects of the French Revolution and the Romantic movement. He is most famous for arguing that humans are inherently good by nature, but are corrupted by civilization and societal institutions. 

No previous knowledge of the subject is either expected or required.The Philosophy group is an open group and you are welcome to attend. There is no need to pre-book.  Just come along on 20th May.
