Tom Duffy will be leading the discussion which will be on John Bordley Rawls, American moral, legal and political philosopher in the modern liberal tradition. Rawls's theory of “justice as fairness" recommends equal basic liberties, equality of opportunity, and facilitating the maximum benefit to the least advantaged members of society in any case where inequalities may occur.

No previous knowledge of the subject is either expected or required.The Philosophy group is an open group and you are welcome to attend. There is no need to pre-book.  Just come along.
