The group, formed in August 2026, is aiming to share information
between members about plays coming up in fringe and other theatres
where the tickets cost less than those for shows in the West End and the
subject matter is not always mainstream.

Each group member takes on the monitoring of the future programme of
one theatre and makes suggestions via a WhatsApp group for what
looks like it might be good. We are covering about 20 theatres in total.
We aim to agree a group outing approximately once a month, mostly for
Saturday matinees. Members who want to go to a particular show buy
their own tickets and then for group outings meet in the theatre bar/café
after the show to discuss the play.

Members wanting to join the group should be prepared and able to use
WhatsApp for communication.
