Spanish Advanced – Reading Short Stories and Current Affairs Items
Federico García Lorca
Jorge Luis Borges
Carmen de Burgos
Isabel Allende
Gabriel García Márquez
We are a small, committed and friendly group that reads and translates orally short works by Spanish and Latin American authors. We may also read occasional current affairs news items.
We are currently reading short stories from two anthologies by Gabriel García Márquez:
“La increíble y triste historia de la cándida Eréndira y de su abuela desalmada” (The Incredible and Sad Tale of Innocent Eréndira and her Heartless Grandmother) AND “Los funerales de la Mamá Grande” (Big Mama's Funeral).
