Our group is a very lively discussion group regularly putting the world to rights. Members of the group find that the discussions are a good way of understanding in more detail the events taking place in the world around us. By getting involved in a discussion you benefit by hearing what others have to contribute. Our last meeting this Autumn is on Monday 8th December. Our first meeting in the new year is on Monday 12th January.

Subjects for discussion are taken from the news and suggestions by group members and are chosen by the chair for the meeting.  The list of subjects is circulated by email before the meeting with links to news stories and background information which might inform the discussion. In the last few months we have been talking about the economy, the situation in the Middle East, the NHS, crime and law and order, the state of the water industry, climate change and many other subjects.
